Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 to be celebrated from 9–17 August 2026: Members of the Indian community encouraged to join "Selfie with Tiranga" Campaign

As part of the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the National Song "Vande Mataram", Government of India has decided to celebrate Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) 2026 across the country and among Indian community abroad from 9 to 17 August 2026.

2. Launched in 2022 under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has evolved into a vibrant Jan Bhagidari movement, inspiring citizens to express their national identity, patriotism and pride by proudly displaying the National Flag.

3. Members of the Indian community in the jurisdiction of CGI, Chicago are requested to actively participate in the initiative by uploading a "Selfie with Tiranga" on the Har Ghar Tiranga Portal (www.harghartiranga.com). As part of the campaign, the lyrics of "Vande Mataram" will automatically appear on the uploaded photograph, symbolizing the harmonious celebration of India's National Flag and National Song. The official approved Hindi and English lyrics, along with the audio file of Vande Mataram, are available on the dedicated (“www.vandemataram150.in/tutorial”) portal. A copy of the approved lyrics is also attached for kind reference.

4. The Indian community in the jurisdiction of CGI, Chicago is requested to participate enthusiastically in “Har Ghar Tiranga 2026” and contribute to this celebration of India's rich cultural heritage, unity and patriotism.
