Kala Utsav 2025 in Des Moines, Iowa – 08 November 2025

The Indo-American Association of Iowa, supported by the Consulate General of India, hosted “Kala Utsav 2025” in West Des Moines, Iowa. The event was a vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage through classical, folk dance and instrumental music which was attended by over 250 guests. A stirring rendition of Vande Mataram performance was among the highlights. The guests included Mayor Paula Dierenfeld, City of Johnston, Mayor Connie Boesen, City of Des Moines, Mayor Courtney Clarke, City of Waukee, Mayor Bob Andeweg, City of Urbandale, State Senator Izaah Knox, State Senator Sarah Trone Garriott, elected officials, and community members who appreciated the performances.
