Visit of Hon’ble Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal to Milwaukee & Chicago: 29 September – 03 October 2026.

Hon’ble Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal participated in the G20 Trade Ministers’ Meeting in Milwaukee from 29 September to 1 October 2026, where he engaged with counterpart Ministers on key shared trade priorities and exchanged views on strengthening global trade cooperation. He also met with CEOs and business leaders to discuss opportunities to deepen trade, investment, and economic partnerships.

During his visit to Chicago on 2 October, the Hon’ble Minister visited Fullerton Hall at the Art Institute of Chicago, reflecting on Swami Vivekananda’s historic 1893 message of peace, harmony, and universal brotherhood. He also visited the Consulate to pay floral tributes to the statue of Swami Vivekananda and subsequently paid homage at the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Skokie, Illinois.

The Hon’ble Minister further addressed a vibrant gathering of the Indian diaspora at a warm reception, celebrating India’s enduring ties with the United States and the shared values that continue to strengthen these bonds.
