World Hindi Day 2026

Consulate General of India, Chicago in collaboration with the Hindi Coordination Committee of Chicago, scholars, Hindi groups, and the Indian diaspora, marked World Hindi Day 2026. The gathering highlighted Hindi’s global significance and its role in preserving culture abroad. Consul General Somnath Ghosh urged continued encouragement of Hindi learning among youth. Enthusiastic performances by children and diaspora members added color to the event, highlighted by a rendition of Vande Mataram.
